Description:

A quite rare Polish Infantry Brigadier General's Service Dress Uniform, believed ca. 1980's yet possibly dating earlier, bearing a sewn-on name tag 'Warchalski' above the right breast. Each shoulder strap bears a single embroidered General's star of silver bullion, with an embroidered crowned eagle being applied of silver bullion on each upper label. An impressive sixteen service ribbons have been sewn to the left chest, most unresearched by us, yet one indicates he was wounded twice in combat. The left breast pocket bears his 'OSP' Officer's School for Infantry badge, while the right breast pocket bears his Infantry Regimental badge. An unidentified red-and-white badge has been affixed to his right breast pocket flap. The lot includes his matching trousers with Infantry General's stripes, his silver dress aiguillette, his General's belt and buckle with cross strap, and a pair of brown leather shoes with laces, measuring 11 in. sole. Fine condition overall, save for scant spots of mothing to the tunic. Potentially a great find which warrants further research.
