PHILIP II
(1527 - 1598) King of Spain who inherited vast tracts of land in the New World, developed the Inquisition, conquered Portugal but lost his naval supremacy in the 1588 defeat of the Armada. Manuscript D.S. "Yo el Rey", 1p. legal folio, Madrid, Mar. ?, 1598 (the last year of his life). Not translated from the Spanish but appears to be a commendation for an infantry soldier. Stain at left, else good condition, with a fine, bold signature.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
