Description:

Phil Spector Signed House Lease Rider, 1967
American record producer and songwriter Harvey Philip Spector originated the "Wall of Sound" production technique, and was a pioneer of the 1960s girl group sound. He clocked in over twenty-five Top 40 hits between 1960 and 1965. The 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson in his Alhambra home led to his being charged with murder in the second degree. After a 2007 mistrial, he was convicted in 2009 and sentenced to a prison term of 19 years to life. We offer a rare signed Spector document, 2pp. legal size, a "Rider to a House Lease" between Spector and Barbara Owen which sets forth Owens' option to renews her lease of Spector's home, with additional conditions concerning condemnation, destruction of the premises, care of the swimming pool and contents of the house, etc. Staple holes and a horizontal fold, boldly signed by both parties. FINE.
