PENNSYLVANIA COLONIAL AND REVOLUTIONARY ERA GOVERNORS
A fine collection of five pieces, including WILLIAM KEITH (1680 - 1749) manuscript D.S. "W. Keith" as governor, 1p. oblong folio, [Philadelphia] July 18, 1722, a deed between Keith and John Budd and Humphrey Morrey (identified as a "Distiller") for a 500 acre tract of land "called Newberry situate... above Connestogo..." Light uneven toning, usual folds, else very good condition. Together with:WILLIAM MARKHAM (1635 - 1704) manuscript D.S. 1p. oblong folio on vellum, Philadelphia, Mar. 13, 1689, a grant unto Willam Salway "... a piece of Land upon & befor[e] thebank of Delaware river ... Joyning [sic] upon the said Delaware front street and to run out into the river in order to erect a wharf or key and to build houses thereupon for the better improvement of the place as well as for his own particular profitt [sic]..." ; GEORGE THOMAS (1695 - 1774) Partly-printed D.S. 1p. oblong folio, Philadelphia, Feb. 18, 1744, an order to survey a 50 acre tract in Hopewell Township; JAMES HAMILTON (c. 1710 - 1783) partly-printed D.S. 1p. oblong folio, Philadelphia June 1, 1763, an order to survey a 500 acre tract granted to John Little "called the Round Hill in the County of Cumberland..."; WILLIAM MOORE (c. 1735 - 1793) manuscript D.S. 1p. folio, Philadelphia, Sept. 10, 1782, a land certificate for the purchase of public lands "...for the present Support of the Army...". Together, five pieces in very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
