PEARL HARBOR SURVIVORS
Fine lot of seven signed items by distinguished United States servicemen who survived the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, including: PHILIP M. RASMUSSEN, credited with shooting down the first Japanese plane while engaged in aerial combat, a 50th anniversary cachet cover in honor of Pearl Harbor, boldly signed in full; BERNARD CLAREY, Pacific Fleet Chief, an U.S. Navy I.S.P. 8" x 10" b/w as Admiral, March 1968. Unfortunately, inscription and signature are somewhat obscured; GLENN LANE, radioman aboard the USS Arizona, an S.P. 8" x 10" b/w photograph, showing two images of the USS Arizona under attack and battleship radio transmitter, boldly signed in full; JOSEPH K. LANGDELL Pearl Harbor survivor who cheated death because he chose to sleep in the Bachelor Officers Quarters instead of below deck on the USS Arizona. He witnessed his ship sink in just nine minutes; fine content T.L.S., January 5, 1998, concerning Pearl Harbor survivors who wish to be buried with their comrades, In part "...The navy diver takes the urn to the bottom of the #4 barbette and then through a hole into the ship he places the urn for its final resting place. They've made thirteen trips so far..."; HERMAN KLEIN, former chauffeur for Gen. Mark Clark who ended up at Pearl Harbor, trapped in his airplane hangar during the first wave, a brief but detailed typescript D.S. describing his ordeal at Pearl Harbor, boldly signed with rank; JOHN FINN, Medal of Honor recipient for bravery under enemy fire during Pearl Harbor, a large bold signature on a 3" x 5" card, with full rank, dated: December 7, 1941. Also, a paper stock 8" x 10" photograph of the USS Nevada under siege, signed by Pearl Harbor survivors: CHARLES T. SEHE, PAUL M. ADAMS, RALPH G. YATES and VERNON CAIN. All items are in fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
