PAUL HINDEMITH
(1895 - 1963) Prolific German-born musician and composer, considered the most important German composer of the first half of the twentieth-century. A.N.S., [n.p., n.d., Very, Switzerland, c. 1959] to Mr. & Mrs. Thomas J. Wilson of the Harvard Press in Cambridge, Mass. on the verso of a whimsical 1959-60 Christmas / New Year's postcard bearing his printed greeting. He writes on the verso: "Your news, dated August 9th, came as a very pleasant surprise, thank you. I learnt that Dr. Hurlmann has sent you the German edition of the A. C's U[?]. and I hope you liked it...". With the original transmittal envelope addressed in his hand and additionally signed "Hindemith" in the return address on verso. Fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
