1147. GEORGE S. PATTON (1885 - 1945) "Old Blood and Guts" was one of the finest tank commanders in history, rolling his forces through Tunisia, Sicily, France and Germany until halted at the Rhine. His signature "G S Patton Jr" censoring an enveloped addressed to Maj. Gen. James Ulio, the Adjutant General in Washington. Postmark appears to be from 1945. Some adhesive remnants on recto, otherwise very good. $400 - 600
