(Patriotic Covers) A fine lot of 26 Civil War patriotic covers, most by Charles Magnus, including three showing Lincoln as a comet with the legend Star of the North, or the Comet of 1861 , camp scenes, noted generals, Washington, and so on. In about 1965, Civil War postage stamps were affixed to the covers and were canceled on the first day of issue.
