Description:

PATRICIA CAMPBELL HEARST
(b. 1954) American socialite and actress who gained notoriety when when she was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), eventually joining her captors in their cause. She was imprisoned for two years, then her sentence commuted by Jimmy Carter. She was finally pardonned by Bill Clinton in 2001. Her signature in bold black marker, executed on a 11" x 15' sheet of acetate, along with a signature of her attorney F. LEE BAILEY, in gold ink. The sheet is affixed to an FBI "Wanted" poster for Hearst and her accomplice William Taylor Harris' arrest, dated Apr. 10, 1975. Reportedly, she would not sign such items, so the fan placed the signed acetate over the poster instead. Matted with abiographical plaque and the now-famous image of Hearst wielding a machine gun, and set into a black lacquer frame. Fine condition, not examined out of frame.
