(1838-1932) Italian Prime Minister during World War I. His government fell in October 1917 as a result of the Italian military defeat in the battle of Caporetto. A.L.S., P. Boselli, 2pp. 8vo., Apr. 4, 1925, to a friend, in Italian. Boselli writes regarding some material relating to "Gioberti" : "…its importance will be further revealed when fresh light is shed on it…What you say is very apposite - my ideas had already moved in the same direction. This classic publication seems to me to be a special type of work…" Sold with a L.S., 1p. 8vo, Rome, Sep. 25, 1889 to the Marquis Carlo Balsamo Crivelli, Secretary General of St. Paul's Charities. Boselli states that his correspondent's request on behalf of their son has been granted. Also including an A.Q.S. on a 24mo., card, 1923, Rome, 1923 in his hand, along with a document bearing a rubber stamped signature of Boselli, 1p. folio, Rome, Jan. 31, 1922, in Italian, an promotion and award. Four pieces, overall very good.
