(P. T. BEAUREGARD)
(1818 - 1893) Confederate major general who initiated the attack on Fort Sumter which started the Civil War. Beauregard also led with great distinction at First Bull Run, Shiloh, and in the defense of Richmond. A tiny tintype recovered in Charleston, South Carolina. Measuring a mere 1 1/4" x 1 3/4", it shows Beauregard from the chest, up in his "early war" uniform, ca. 1861. Printed on verso: "General Beauregard". Housed in original brass mat with loop at top for hanging. A couple of spots and minor scratcher, overall very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
