Description:

(1947-1996) American drifter and associate of Henry Lee Lucas who was convicted of six counts of murder. He died in his cell from cirrhosis, aged 49. Good lot of three signed items, includes: Original signed drawing in colored markers, 8" x 10", a waist-up depiction of a crying woman. Toole signs boldly at lower right in black ink, adding the date "4-13-94". Shows mailing folds, with damp stains at bottom left, else very good. WITH: S.P., 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" color, a snapshot of Toole taken while in prison. He signs on the verso in black ink. The signature is slightly blurred, else very good. WITH: A.L.S. on prison letterhead, 1p. 4to., "Florida State Prison", Sep. 6, 1994, to "My Best Friend". He thanks his correspondent for sending him postage stamps and asks after his progress in school. He signs at the conclusion in blue ink, and executes his name again at the top of the page in the appropriate blank. Shows mailing folds, else very good. An original unsigned color Polaroid photograph of Toole in prison, taken at the same time as the S.P. described above, is also present. Four pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made.
