OPERATION BARBAROSSA PARTICIPANT'S "SOLDBUCH"
Original Wehrmacht "soldbuch", 34pp. 12mo., issued to Werner Johannsen at Lubeck, Dec. 18, 1939. His stamped identity photo is affixed to the inside of the front cover, with his signature appearing on the second page. His service record affixed within indicates that he served primarily with the "Grenadier Ersatz Battalion 6". His record also indicates that he was a participant in Operation Barbarossa, starting in May of 1941, and that he was wounded numerous times, including shrapnel wounds received in August of 1941 and November of 1942, and a bullet wound received n February of 1942. As a result, he was awarded the Wound Badge in Black, Silver and Gold, as well as the Eastern Front Medal and the Iron Cross, Second Class. Many pages are detached and show chips to the edges, with some soiling and expected wear overall, else very good.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
