1701. LAURENCE OLIVIER (1907 - 1989) English actor, producer, and director, acclaimed as one of the most accomplished of 20th-century actors, particularly in Shakespearean roles. T.L.S. "Larry" on his letterhead, 1p. 8vo., [n.p., ca. 1963], to Cuthbert Worsley, on the birth of his daughter. In part: "...Thank you for the lovely Babygram. It did the baby a great deal of good. Both she and Joanie had quite a stormy journey but are starting now to get out of the wood...". He adds in a holograph postscript: "Forgive this form stuff please ever love Larry". Along with a T.L. unsigned, thanking the recipient on behalf of baby Tamsin "...for the lovely welcome you gave me...". $75-100
