574. DANIEL O`CONNELL (1775 - 1847) "The Liberator", Irish nationalist leader who forced the Catholic emancipation and fought for Irish self-rule. Nice A.D.S., an envelope panel Dublin, Jan. 10, 1837, addressed in his hand to: "Mr. James Meyers Taylor to his Majesty..." in London. Boldly franked at bottom left. Matted with a portrait engraving, and handsomely presented in a gilt frame. Usual toning, otherwise very good condition, not examined out of frame. $150 - 200
