Description:

Good lot of three official typed copies of Nuremberg "evidence analysis" documents, each 1p. sm. folio, Feb. 1948, providing analytical descriptions of various pieces of evidence utilized in war crimes trials, includes: examination of a cable sent on March 18, 1941, regarding resettlement talks with Russia, summarized in part: "'For certain reasons' the Foreign Office is interested in having the Russian resettlement committee leave Germany before 25 March...Any negotiations which would lead to such commandos staying in Germany must, therefore, be broken off..." Beneath this, the analyst adds: "This document, initialed by Weizsacker and Ritter, is - so far - the earliest grounds for proving preparation of aggressive war against Russia". WITH: examination of a June 19, 1941 memo by "Grosskopf" on his talks with Alfred Rosenberg, the head of the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories, summarized in part: "Rosenberg asked Grosskopf to inform Ribbontrop that he needs for his Ministry...two buildings of the Russian Embassy in Berlin, which are to be transferred on the day the action in the East starts..." This memo had been sent just three days before the invasion of the Soviet Union began. WITH: study of a June 30, 1941 memo by Grosskopf, relates to the establishment of a top-secret "Russia committee" headed by WILHELM KEPPLER (1882-1960), early financier of Adolf Hitler and one of his top economic advisors, who administered SS confiscated industries in Poland and Russia. Ragged top edges, one unevenly toned towards top edge, else very good.
