Description:

NSKK DAGGER
NSKK dagger, 8.5 in. blade, 13.5 in. overall, with hardwood handle and a painted black steel scabbard. The handle features the S.A. logo at the top and the Nazi eagle and swastika just below it, both perfectly fitted, with the pommel and fixing screw excellent. The wood grip showing some chipping and wear. The blade is etched with the motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland' (‘Everything for Germany') and displays running marks and some pitting. The reverse of the lower crossguard is stamped ‘BO', indicating the regional branch of the S.A. to which the owner belonged. This stamp also indicates that the dagger was manufactured prior to 1935. On the back of the blade is the maker mark of J. P. Saur & Sohn, Suhl and ‘Gegr. 1751'. Ball termination on scabbard bears one insignificant dent but overall a good example
