Cole, sending a signed copy of the book 'Omaha Beachhead' [not included], adding: 'I have very deep memories of Omaha Beach. There are two more general officers whose signatures you should obtain...General Taylor commanded the 16th Infantry...and General Wyman represented General Huebner on the beach during the early morning of June 6, 1944...You might also be interested in obtaining the signature of Admiral William Hall, who commanded the task force...and had charge of the operation of the actual landing...'
