Nice grouping related to the family of Richard M. Nixon (1913 - 1994), the thirty-seventh President of the United States who led during the Vietnam War, re-opened diplomatic ties with China and the U.S.S.R., resigned his office due to the Watergate scandal. Lot consists of 4 pieces: S.P., 8" x 10", b/w, a family portrait of the Nixons, signed, "Pat Nixon" in black ballpoint pen above her image; S.P., 8" x 10", b/w, a wonderful shot of the Nixon family on a [Hawaii?] beach holding hands along with David Eisenhower, grandson of former President Dwight Eisenhower, who would go on to marry Julie Nixon, boldly signed "David Eisenhower", "Tricia Nixon", and "Julie Nixon" in the blank bottom margin below their respective images; A.L.S., "Julie Nixon", 1p., 8vo., [New York], Aug 29, 1967, replying to a reviewer of her father's book Six Crises, in part: "...I want to tell you how much your letter meant to me...My father and I are flying out to California tonight...I am going to take your letter with me and, between speech-writing and Newsweek, I'll have my Dad read it. He always hears about who's against him, so I think your letter will be an especially heartening surprise..."; also included is the holographically addressed cover with Julie Nixon's letter, canceled New York, Aug. 29, 1967.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
