41. NEW HAMPSHIRE RAISES TROOPS FOR THE REVOLUTION Rare printed broadside, 13" x 8", [New Hampshire, ca. June 27, 1781] a broadside headed: "State of New Hampshire...AN ACT...for Raising for raising and filling up this State's Quota of the Continental Army..." The broadside lists nineteen officers representing various state regiments, each officer charged with raising men to serve in their respective regiments until the end of the calendar year, failing which they are permitted to hire men to fill the vacancies with the expense to be paid by each respective town. It concludes: "...[the men] shall be sent forward with the utmost Speed to be mustered by the Muster-Masters respectively..." Signed in type by Speaker JOHN LANGDON and New Hampshire President MESHECH WEARE. Rough margins with some loss thereat especially at top, yet with no loss of text, still overall very good.
