(1869 – 1940) Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1937 to 1940, best known for appeasement foreign policy, in particular regarding his signing of the Munich Agreement in 1938, conceding the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia to Germany. Pencil signature on a green sheet (mount?), beneath a photo of Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler during their fateful meeting at Munich. Matted and set into a wood frame. Fine.
