Description:

NAZI LEADERS AND IDEOLOGUES Fine lot of items signed by Nazi leaders and ideologues, includes: JOHANNA WOLF, Hitler's secretary, A.N.S. on the verso of a Christmas card, RUDOLF JUNG, an early Party member and founder of the Arbeitspartei, 1937 A.N.S., HARTMANN LAUTERBACHER, Gauleiter of Hanover who investigated Goering, T.L.S., Dec. 30, 1934; COLIN ROSS, anti-American author and possible spy, A.N.S.; WERNER DAITZ, "Leibensraum" theorist, T.L.S., Oct. 16, 1943; WALTER FRANK, Nazi ideologist and ardent anti-Semite, two T.L.S.'s, 1937 and 1944; LUDWIG SIEBERT, President of Bavaria, T.L.S. Aug. 30, 1934; HANS MEIER, director of the central munitions lab for Siemens and Halske, sent by the SS to Dachau, signed Christmas card; HINRICH LOHSE, Gauleiter and war criminal, signed Christmas card, 1936; WILHELM MURR, Gauleiter of Württemberg and ardent anti-Semite, T.L.S. Dec. 30, 1935, Christmas greetings; GUSTAV SIMON, a Jew and Gauleiter of Moselland, executed for his complicity in the July 20 plot; and ALBERT SPEER, A.N.S., 1948. The common thread here is that all of these cards and letters were sent to Philipp Bouhler (1889-1945), a Nazi war criminal who supervised Hitler's euthanasia program which ordered the "mercy killings" of thousands of retarded, deformed and mentally ill Germans. With his wife he committed suicide as Americans closed in. Very good.
