1802. (CARRY A. NATION) 1846 -1911) American temperance agitator who believed that since liquor was illegal in Kansas, she had the right to destroy with her axe liquor, furniture and fixtures in illegal drinking establishments. A great temperance movement relic, a cast-iron axe measuring 9 1/2" x 4", entitled "Axe of All Nations" with a relief of Nation's face, along with the slogan "1901 Cut Out the Whiskey". Fine condition. $100-150
