Description:

NATHAN LEOPOLD
(1904 - 1971) American criminal who, with Richard Loeb, was convicted in the thrill-killing of a 14 year old. Saved from the chair by Clarence Darrow's brilliant defense. Scarce A.L.S. "Nate" on French hotel letterhead, 1p. 8vo., Lyons, June 4 [1963] to celebrated New York Post writer Leonard Lyons who penned the widely-read column "The Lyons Den". Leopold, just released from probation, mentions the enjoyable time he and his wife are passing in Europe and inquires: "How's the suit going?". Very good.
