Fine content manuscript L.S. "Nap" 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], Feb. 27, 1814, in French to one of his strike commanders, Marshal Ney, the Prince of Moskova, detailing troop movements of the cavalry and infantry north to shield Napoleon in the area around Sezanne. In part: "...I am giving you the order to move with your cavalry and your infantry to Burgundy. I have directed the 9th Curiad to attack toward Sermaize. The Duke of Dillman will transport you to the Sallon Brigade...to a temporary position where we can all link up at Ervy to march on Fere Champenoise. Countermand the order...to the Duc de Favoue...repeat it that he will take you to Villenauze where there are no enemy and then march toward Meaux. If all the armies have evacuated Sezanne, then occupy Sezanne...". Mounting strip to left edge, folds, overall very good.
