N. C. WYETH
(1882 - 1945) American artist and illustrator, the star pupil of Howard Pyle who became one of America's greatest illustrators. Killed in a railroad crossing accident. His signature "N. C. Wyeth" on the second front blank leaf of the first volume of Harvey Allen's book, Anthony Adverse (New York: Farrar and Rinehart, Inc., 1934, two volumes bound in green cloth gilt titled boards and housed in a titled and illustrated slipcase featuring illustrations by Wyeth. Volume One is also signed by the author "Harvey Allen" just above Wyeth's signature. Books bear light wear, pages quite clean, one crack in slipcase, else very good to fine condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
