Description:

N.S.D.A.P. POLITICAL LEADER'S UNIFORM
N.S.D.A.P. Ortsgruppenleiter uniform including jacket, tie with pin, trousers, and two regulation belts. The brown wool twill tunic bears collar tabs indicating that the owner, clearly a long-time party member, was at the party's secretary level in the Ortsgruppe level. All buttons are present: four for closing the garment, one each for the four front pockets, and two at the top of the rear vent. Ortsgruppenleiter armband with blue piping and with one pip at center has been sewn to the left sleeve. The white field beneath the swastika bears moth damage and should be restored. Two ribbons are affixed at the top button hole indicating that the owner had been awarded the Iron Cross (World War I) and the German Social Service Medal. The jacket is fully lined within, with maker's label of "Aug. Meyer Murnau" (Bavaria) sewn to left breast. There is some scattered soiling, mainly at the neckline and where medals and medal bars had been pinned, otherwise very good with no moth damage evident. The original brown cloth tie is present, unlabeled, with a round steel NSDAP pin marked: "M1/34". The matching brown twill wool pants are also present. They bear a five-button fly closure with six buttons closing the tapered ankles of each pant leg. Two diagonal front pockets with buttoned flaps are present as is a small watch pocket, and one similar horizontal pocket is situated on the right rear. But for three small moth holes at front, the pants are in excellent condition. An official post-1939 brown leather belt with pebble-finish buckle is included, as is the pre-1939 political leaders' chocolate brown belt with gold buckle, the buckle marked "RZM M4/23". Six pieces, generally fine condition.
