Addressed in another hand to "His Excellency The Governor - of the State of - Connecticut", undoubtedly to Samuel Huntington, Signer of the Declaration of Independence and Governor of Connecticut from 1786 to 1796. On verso of panel is a portion of a financial letter in an unknown hand, being a segment of a 1787 accounting record involving Jonathan and David Trumbull. Affixed to a slightly larger sheet.
