1107. MISSISSIPPI MURDER REWARD PROCLAMATION Scarce D.S., 1p. folio, Jackson, Feb. 21, 1900, a proclamation signed twice by Gov. A. H. LONGINO offering a $150.00 reward for the capture of murderer Silas Stanton who had killed one A. M. Billingsly in Tate Co. Stanon is described as "bowlegged, light hair, wears a mustache". On verso is a similar proclamation seeking murderer A. B. Parks who had escaped from jail. Apparently, Stanton was captured, but Parks remained "on the lam". Very good. $150 - 200
