Good lot of four books signed by notable military aviators of World War II, includes: "Escort to Berlin: The 4th Fighter Group in World War II", by Garry Fry and Jeffrey Ethell (New York: Arco Publishing, Inc.), 1980, 226pp. 8vo., an account of the first fighter group to fly combat missions in German airspace. The book has been signed on the title page by fighter aces JAMES A. CLARK and GERALD BROWN, with an unidentified member of the 4th FG and author JEFFREY L. ETHELL. The dust jacket shows minor wear, else very good. WITH: FRANK SPEER (1922-2011), first lieutenant and chronicler of the 4th Fighter Group. Signed and inscribed book, his memoir "Wingman", (New York: Carlton Press, Inc.), 1993, 144pp. 8vo. He signs on the front cover in black ink, adding a dedication and his fighter's nickname "Turnip Termite". Shows minor wear to the dust jacket, else very good. WITH: JAMES A. GOODSON (1921-2014), fighter ace with 14 kills who flew with the 4th and 31st Fighter Groups, Signed and inscribed book, his memoir "Tumult in the Clouds", (Canterbury: Harrop Press), 1983, 238pp. 8vo. He signs on the title page in black ink, adding a dedication. Very good, WITH: MURRAY PEDEN, Canadian RAF bomber pilot and author. Signed and inscribed book, his "A Thousand Shall Fall" (Stittsville: Canada's Wings Inc.), 1979, 490pp. 8vo. Peden signs in black ink on the title page, adding a dedication. Very good.
