MERCURY SEVEN ASTRONAUTS
Framed ensemble of items signed by six Mercury program astronauts. Includes an I.S.P. 9 1/4" x 7" color showing all of the Mercury program astronauts standing beside a training aircraft, the photo signed by GORDON COOPER, WALTER SCHIRRA, ALAN SHEPARD and DEKE SLAYTON. Also present is a Project Mercury first day commemorative postal cover canceled at Cape Canaveral, Feb. 20, 1962 (the day John Glenn orbited earth), boldly signed by JOHN GLENN in blue ink, with a second home-made postal cover picturing SCOTT CARPENTER and boldly signed by him, canceled at Cape Canaveral on July 20, 1974. Also present is a carefully printed signature of VIRGIL I. GRISSOM. All four items are attractively double-matted and set into a black and gold gilt wood frame.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas), DHL or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items are not shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
