Description:

MEDIEVAL HEAD AND RESTRAINT DEVICE
A terrible reminder of the methods used to torture prisoners in the Medieval Ages, possibly used during the Inquisition, a wood and steel head and arm restraint device wherein the victim's head would be held tightly within the larger of the holes, and the arms captured within the holes parallel to the head. The device closes by means of a crude hinge clasp at the end. Measures 22" long x 9" across the head portion and 4 1/2" across the arm restraint. Very good condition, with a copy of the original bill of sale in German, a bit illegible.
