Superb grouping of medals and insignia from the military service of First Lieutenant Franklin L. Thomas, 82nd Airborne Division, 504th Infantry Regiment, including: two Distinguished Unit Citation bars with Oak Leaf Cluster, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with two Battle Stars and one Arrowhead, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Medal, WWII Victory Medal, two First Allied Airborne Army pins, a 2nd Airborne Division Class A patch, a Sixth United States Army patch, a Combat Infantryman Badge, an Army Paratrooper lapel pin, and multiple other pieces of insignia. The above decorations are housed together in a 16 x 12 in. black display case lined with gray cloth. Fine condition. Lieutenant Thomas served with the 82nd Airborne when his regiment was part of Operation Market Garden, D-Day and the Battle of the Bulge, and the unit roster from August 1944 indicates that Thomas led the machine gun platoon at one time. Many details regarding his military history, however, is still unknown. Worthy of further research!

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, FedEx and DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
