MAXIMILIAN VON WEICHS
(1881 - 1954) German field marshal and a recipient of the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. For the invasion of Poland, Weichs was appointed head of his own Army Corps "Weichs". After the surrender, and in preparation for the invasion of France, he was made C-in-C of the 2nd Army. He later fought in the Balkans, during Barbarossa, and after the rout at Stalingrad was transferred back to the Balkans. War-date D.S., 1p. 8vo., "Headquarters", Feb. 10, 1943, an award of the Iron Cross, 2nd Class to a soldier in his command, Light foxing else very good.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made.
