Good content and association, A.L.S. in German on official Society for the Advancement of Science letterhead, as Society President, 1p., 4to, Berlin, Dec. 9, 1935 regarding employment for Werner Kuhn. In part: "...It now behooves me to inform you that according to the wishes of the Office of the Ministers decisions, in this mentioned situation, will not be made until January 31 of next year. Prior to this date, there will be nothing that can be done in that direction for Mr. Dr. Kuhn. However... the R.W. Institute for Physics, directed by Mr. Professor Debija, which is currently being built, something [there] may be available for him...". Boldly signed "M. Planck" in black ink. Werner Kuhn, a Swiss chemical physicist, eventually developed the first model of viscosity for polymer solutions using statistical mechanics. Slight middle fold slightly affecting signature, else fine.
