Good pair of original letters from MATHILDE WEBER, wife of Friedrich Weber, an early confidant of Adolf Hitler and a participant in the Munich Beer Hall Putsch, both written during her husband's imprisonment at Landsberg. Includes: good content A.L.S., 2pp. 4to., Munich, Dec. 28, 1923, in small part: "...One feels so good right now when one sees that people are still loyal to the Fuhrer. We have received a certificate of loyal comradery, and we both have good courage... Our roots have to go deeper, we have to become even harder... and we have to join even more strongly with those who want the same... a storm has to go through the country, so that everything rotten and weak is destroyed and the strong can lead, carried forward by the power of this popular community..." She signs at the conclusion in black ink. Shows folds with slight splits thereto, with file holes at the left edge, else very good. FRIEDRICH WEBER (1892-1954) was a German veterinarian and instructor at the University of Munich, as well as a leader of "Freikorps Oberland". Alongside Adolf Hitler, Erich Ludendorff, Ernst Röhm and Hermann Kriebel, he was one of the chief conspirators in the Munich Beer Hall Putsch in November of 1923. He was imprisoned at Landsberg alongside the other conspirators and was later named "Reichsführer of the German Veterinarians", as well as a member of the Reich Ministry of the Interior and an SS-Gruppenfuhrer.
