Good lot of four documents signed by Marshals of the Soviet Union, includes: FYODOR TOLBUKHIN (1894-1949), commander of the 58th Army during the Battle of Stalingrad, later led 3rd Ukrainian Front during the invasions of Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary and Yugoslavia. Partly-printed D.S., 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], Dec. 25 1947, untranslated but believed to be an evaluation of the commander of the 94th Mechanized Regiment. Tolbukhin signs at the conclusion in violet ink, adding his recommendation that the officer be demoted just above. Ragged at the left edge with a 2"" tear thereto, else very good. WITH: ANDREY GRECHKO (1903-1976), Commander of the 1st Guards Army in Hungary and Austria, later Soviet Minister of Defense. Partly-printed D.S. 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], Jan. 25, 1949, untranslated but apparently and evaluation for an officer, whose ID photo is affixed at the top right corner. Grechko signs at the conclusion in black pencil. Shows folds, else very good. WITH: ANDREY YERYOMENKO (1892-1970), planner of the defense of Stalingrad, later led the liberation of Czechoslovakia. Partly-printed D.S., 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], Nov. 22, 1940, untranslated but believed to be an attestation for an officer, signed by Yeryomenko in violet ink near the center of of the second page. Shows some toning and chips to the edges, else very good. WITH: KIRILL MOSKALENKO (1902-1985) commander of the 40th Army, led at Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk. Later arrested Stalin's secret police chief Lavrenity Beria and assisted in his execution. Typed D.S., 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], May 21, 1945, untranslated but apparently a military attestation for an officer. Moskalenko signs boldly at the conclusion in red pencil. Shows folds, else very good.
