OSWALD'S WEAPON OF CHOICE A scarce 6.5 Mannlicher-Carcano Italian bolt-action rifle with mount and scope, identical in nearly all respects to the rifle used by Lee Harvey Oswald to assassinate President John F. Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. This rifle, like Oswald's bears a full wood stock, imprinted with weapon's serial number AC 9552. The rifle also bears a telescopic scope identical to the one used by Oswald, a 4" x 18" coated scope made by Ordnance Optics Inc. of Hollywood, Ca., said by our consignor to have originated from the same small lot as the scope Oswald purchased. With worn leather sling, barrel lightly oxidized, lacking ammunition clip, in otherwise very good condition.
