Fine lot of ten items originating from the estate of renowned magician Joseph Dunninger, including: a Harry Houdini Ex Libris bookplate; an original pamphlet titled "The Adventurous Life of a Versatile Artist: HOUDINI", ca. 1925, 68pp., with a proxy signature of Houdini on the title page possibly by his wife; rare pamphlet titled "Introductory Discourse, delivered at the opening of the Protestant Episcopal Church", Sept. 13, 1820, 31pp., signed by Church founder SAMUEL H. TURNER on cover. Reinforced front board is boldly signed by JOSEPH DUNNINGER with his self-designed bookplate. This church existed for only one year in New Haven, Connecticut (1820) before relocating to New York City, where it resides to this day; I.S.P 8" x 10" b/w, a reproduction of a painting of Frank Buck by Norman Rockwell, boldly signed by FRANK BUCK: "To my friend Dunninger...with great admiration"; an original 1920's magician's prop, a 6" x 5" cardboard image of a skull that illuminates when exposed to light; a 1960's brochure for the now-defunct Houdini Magical Hall of Fame, with images of Dunninger performing; a signature by Dunninger on an oblong 8vo. sheet, adding his remarkable facsimile of Houdini's signature; outstanding limitation page from a work by MAHLON BLAINE titled "Nova Venus", #1/300, upon which Blaine has accomplished an original drawing of a nude girl in a provocative pose with devil horns protruding from her head, boldly signed in full, plus one additional item. Very good condition.

Shipment is sent USPS priority, USPS International Express (for most overseas) or UPS Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature required, unless other arrangements are made. Handling, shipping and insurance charges will be added to the invoice in one entry. Buyer's should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. Customer's who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
