798. DONALD MACMILLAN (1874 - 1970) American explorer with Peary at the North Pole and leader of many arctic expeditions. A fine grouping of material, includes a page removed from one of his books, signed by he and his wife, along with five 5" x 7" news service photographs showing variously MacMillan before his vessel, at the ship's wheel, in full polar garb and in sailor's casual garb, and a later image seated at his desk, with an 8" x 10" Bachrach photo of him, again in polar garb.
