M1 GARAND BAYONETS
Good lot of three knife bayonets for the U.S. M1 Garand rifle and a variant, includes: M1 bayonet, 9 3/4" blade, 14 1/4" overall, with a blued blade and black plastic grips. The ricasso is maker marked "AFH" for the American Fork & Hoe Co., above "U.S." on either side of a "shell and flame" ordnance symbol. The bayonet is housed in a composite M7 bayonet with a metal throat fitted with a hanging loop and marked "U.S." within a similar ordnance symbol. The blade shows some run marks, with some patina to the metal fittings of the scabbard, else very good. WITH: M1 bayonet, 9 3/4" blade, 14 1/4" overall, with a blued blade and black plastic grips. The ricasso is maker marked "UFH" for the Union Fork & Hoe Co., above "U.S." on either side of a "shell and flame" ordnance symbol. The bayonet is housed in a composite M7 bayonet with a metal throat fitted with a hanging loop and marked "U.S." within a similar ordnance symbol. The scabbard has been repainted, with the paint removed to expose the ordnance symbol, and with some slight run marks to the blade, else very good. WITH: M1 bayonet, 9 3/4" blade, 14 1/4" overall, with a blued blade and black plastic grips, modified for use with the Italian BM59 rifle, a select-fire version of the M1 Garand, and issued to the Argentine Army. The barrel ring has been enlarged to accept the muzzle of the BM59, and a new serial number "5499893" has been added within an oblong space on the reverse ricasso. The ricasso is maker marked "UFH" for the Union Fork & Hoe Co., above "U.S." on either side of a "shell and flame" ordnance symbol. The bayonet is housed in a composite M7 bayonet with a metal throat fitted with a hanging loop and marked "U.S." within a similar ordnance symbol. A second serial number "5340166" has been added to the top of the scabbard throat. Run marks to the blade, else very good. Three pieces.

Shipments are sent via USPS Priority, USPS International Priority, DHL (for most overseas shipments) or FedEx Ground at the auctioneer's option, signature is always required, unless other arrangements are made. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Customers who supply their own courier account number will still be charged a handling fee.
