Description:

(b. 1948) 'Squeaky', follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. Sarcastic A.L.S. 'Lyn' with holograph envelope signed 'Lynette Fromme' in return address, 2pp. 4to., [n.p.], June 6, [1977], sent to Edward George, Charles Manson's prison administrator and counselor, while Manson was being held in the California Medical Facility in Vacaville. In part: '...You don't have to disregard the letter I sent last night for, as you can see, it goes both ways...your letter was visual, also funny...I've learned to be impatient from the people you work for. My patience has not only gone unrecognized but was used against me. Why if all my patience were stacked end to end - there may be no end to the circle...It's dark now but I wanted to slip this under my door tonight...' She signs at the conclusion, adding a rough sketch of the moon and a night sky. Sold with original transmittal envelope. Edward George acted as Manson's prison administrator, counselor, unofficial 'press agent,' and confidant, and later authored 'Charles Manson: Conversations with a Killer'.
From the estate of Charles Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words.'
