Description:

LYNETTE FROMME WRITES TO CHARLES MANSON
LYNETTE FROMME (b. 1948) 'Squeaky', a follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. A.L.S. 'R' [for Red], 5pp. 4to., [n.p., n.d.], to Charles Manson. In part: '...Living in the traffic is bad and causes sickness in people. It's a different bad than cooped up in a cell but they don't realize it consciously. That fast life kills people...You've made me very independent personally and yet on the overall level I need your clear mind and I would let you go to have someone life you in the world for my kids...Haven't felt like going outside much because my mind is busy. I understand what you mean about getting more done in thought than running in circles yet it is a big habit to break...It kills me to accept the realities others call real...Are you a cell in my brain or my brain itself, or I'm just one little cell in your brain...' Fine condition.
