Description:

(b. 1948) 'Squeaky', follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. Lengthy good association A.L.S., 8pp. 4to., [n.p., n.d.], written to CHARLES MANSON. In part: 'Regarding ALGER HISS [(1904-1996) Embattled government official in the Roosevelt administration who was accused of spying for the Soviets] - I don't know who he is but I was just looking through the 1980 Almanac and see his name under 'Noted Personalities'...A Frederick Scott was born Nov. 11th, 1904...I just saw Blue. She's so funny. She's up on a lot of people's thinking. She knows their homes and jobs etc. and her dreams forecast events about earth & people around her...She showed me her jewlery she's making and I picked out one you'd like...B thinks she may get all hung up in the lesbeian homo scene in S.F....B was critical of Mel's wife's letter - said that she only wants to make her man rich & doesn't see why we're in prison...I told her few people do & not to expect them to... I feel burnt out - dead - like I'm not really living...it's all been said and done...' She signs 'R' [for 'Red'] at the conclusion. Mailing folds, else fine. From a grouping of Fromme's letters in the estate of Manson's biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.
