Description:

LYNETTE FROMME WRITES TO CHARLES MANSON
LYNETTE FROMME (b. 1948) 'Squeaky', a follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. Lengthy A.L.S. 'Red', 16pp. 4to., San Diego, August 22 [n.y.], to Charles Manson. In part: 'When I said Bees [fellow Family member Sandar Good] tells me the truth most of the time I didn't mean to imply she lies...I don't gotta tell you the zeal[?] of Bees because you seen her from a birds eye in the desert when I wouldn't save a rattlesnake from being shot...So Zab wants to move out to Vacaville. I think Vacaville is the best place cause 1) Manson is there, 2) I'll be between San Francisco and Sacramento where the two friends of Manson's I know of are, 3) Heather Hanson says its green...Is it true that Leslie Van Houten [Manson Family member who actively participated in the LaBianca murders] is getting faggoty with all the boys?...How do you mean others use the cross to get off on. Tell me exactly how you mean get off I only heard it used as expression to hit or kill...Would you do religious tapes? If the reverends and ministers got it together? I'm not counting on it happening but the way you say the prison officials could listen to the tapes...' Accompanied by a hand addressed and signed envelope. Fine condition.
