Description:

LYNETTE FROMME LETTER TO CHARLES MANSON
(b. 1948) 'Squeaky', a follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. A.L.S. 'R' (for 'Red', her name in the Manson Family), 8pp. 4to., Alderson, 1983, to Charles Manson. In part: '...I've thought at times about how I should just keep my mouth shut. But the thought goes on and we are parts. I worry about you and wonder if that is my mother. I know you can take care of yourself but I don't want you dealing with a bunch of problems I cause. You keep me in truth because I want to be for you but in truth I was nothing when you met me but a product of the past...I'm still dazed from my last bout with religion. I'll pass on that spot for a spell...I saw that in truth you don't need me but maybe I can be of use to you sometime...If we look to your thought and move in the motions you gave us we will at least fulfill ourselves' soul and leave earth if necessary...I'd like to change right now for you and have and keep changing as change just is. If I ever see you as Charlie again it will be because I was strong enough to get there...' Much more. Accompanied by a hand addressed envelope. Fine condition. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'.

Buyers should be aware that large, framed, fragile or odd shaped items can incur substantial shipping and packing charges. International shipments are invoiced by DIMENSIONAL weight, not the item weight. Please contact us for an estimate before bidding NOTE: Large, heavy or bulky items may not be shipped by the auctioneer - arrangements for shipping of these items via a third-party shipper may be arranged through the auction house.
