Description:

(b. 1948) 'Squeaky', follower of Charles Manson, later attempted to assassinate President Gerald Ford, failing to get a shot off when her gun jammed. Vibrant A.L.S. 'Red' on red construction paper, 2pp. 4to (unfolded), [n.p., n.d], to Charles Manson discussing her feelings. In part: '...Some peoples awareness I find myself testing as without care of personal thoughts words and motions come. Today like most days was an interesting day and I missed your presence because I realized the loneliness of knowing things most people will never ask themselves about, sad things mostly. I'm writing this to tell you that I would push myself to finish your vest tonight but I feel that I usually feel nervous about you getting the things but it's a bad feeling and serves nothing and I know you would not have me feel that way...to you, I can only dream awaking...' The front of the folded letter features a sticker of a girl, chicken, and bug in front of a house. Accompanied by a hand addressed envelope. Fine condition. From a grouping of Manson's letters in the estate of his biographer NUEL (MELTON) EMMONS (1927-2002), who had once been jailed with and later befriended Manson. He co-wrote 'Manson in His Own Words'
