Description:

LST 264 CHRISTENING CORD
An interesting pair of relics, a printed ticket for U.S. Marine Tony Pondisco, to report aboard the LST 264, accompanied by a 6" piece of red, white and blue cord that card states is from the bottle used to christen the warship ship. The LST 264 was assigned to the European theater and participated in the invasion of Normandy in June 1944. She also participated at Iwo Jima in February 1945. She was decommissioned in January 1946. With a printed image showing the 264 at Iwo Jima. Two items, very good.
