LITZMANNSTADT GHETTO DOCUMENT An important partly-printed deportation D.S. 2pp. legal folio, Apr. 2, 1943, being a directive to the Kiev Railroad concerning the transport of refugee Jews, stamped at bottom "Geheim" ("Classified!"). With holograph postscript in grease pencil in an unknown hand: "By the order of the Reichsfuhrer SS, no deportations shall be made to Eberswalde for the moment, but to Litzmannstadt...". From October 1942 to May 1944, Litzmannstadt had become the largest forced labor camp, with 90% of its population employed in factories. Minor fraying at top margin, not affecting text, otherwise very good condition. $200 - 250
