LINDBERGH Startling S.P. "C.A. Lindbergh", 4 3/4" x 7 1/2" overall, b/w, an original image of Lindbergh meeting with Nazi Luftwaffe Gen. Erhard Milch in Munich on October 12, 1937, signed on the lower white mount of the photo. Lindbergh is shown in animated discussion with Milch who is in full military uniform. Very good, matted with brass plaque and framed. Lindbergh was widely criticized for his positive report on the quality of the German air force following his return from this visit to Germany. Indeed, accusations of his being a sympathizer dogged him for the rest of his life. $500-700
